1-3. Right after daylight savings time, we started taking a walk every night after dinner. We have wanted to do this for years and living right next to open space it always drove me and the dude crazy that we were not taking walks as a family. But sometimes with super strong willed kids you pick your battles and I was never interested in arguing with anyone ad nauseam over a walk. Things changed as they do so quickly with kids and here we are finally enjoying a relaxing time outside together every night. It's been great. I look forward to it all day. Right now the jasmine is in bloom and the whole neighborhood smells like the sweet little blossoms. Before that, is was wisteria. We've smelled incredibly fragrant gardens, watched food grow from from raised beds, met a ton of dogs, and finally gotten to know our neighbors. And tonight we watched as a hawk flew to a nest atop a towering tree to deliver food to its babies. We could hear the little squeaks and squeals as the little ones received their meal. It was awesome. So, just get outside. Look up. And Remember. For this will all go by too quickly.
