1. Thank you 2019 for teaching me (mostly forcing me) how to find the ease in being incredibly flexible. Also, fuck you and no thanks. But thanks.

2. I cannot stop thinking about a short little segment on The Daily Show the other night. Neal Brennan did an opinion piece about the rise of socialism. He's smart and hilarious and all in all, it's funny but what I cannot shake is this...Jeff Bezos is worth $144 billion dollars. Yeah. That's a fuck ton of money. So much so that (and this is what really took my breath away) even if you made 50 million dollars a year you would have to work 2,880 years to reach 144 billion. That's enough to give roughly every single person alive on the globe $10. So where does the money go? I'll let you chase that one down. I will warn you though it's a rabbit hole of being really, really, really unimpressed.

3. Feeling this very much right now. From Mary Oliver - In Blackwater Woods (partial)

To live in this world

you must be able
to do three things:
to love what is mortal;
to hold it

against your bones knowing
your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it go,
to let it go.
