1. With experience comes the ability to know when the waves of life are too strong to surf and you will just need to be okay floating along with your board for a while. Either way, the shore is still in sight. Also, I really like getting up on the board better, but here we are.

2. "The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth." - African proverb. I read this quote on @therealtarzann's page today. If you don't follow him, you should, he's pretty rad. This idea spoke to me in a very deep and profound way. I spent many years working with the kids who burn down the village. and it really is out of not feeling the warmth. Brilliant.

3. I've been watching two hawks sit side by side on a tree branch for the last hour or so. I really want to know what they are thinking.
