2. The Golden Gate Bridge has 4 fog horns. Two face out toward the ocean, two face the Bay and one is for use in case the others fail. While other fog horns use an automatic blaring system based on particular matter in the air, the ones on the Golden Gate Bridge still run manually. To access the horns workers take an elevator through a secret door in one of the bridge towers. The horns sound so loudly that the vibration shakes your body to the bone and without a protective headset you would go deaf from the incredible noise. Whoa. Toot Toot!
