1. I can't seem to say this too many times. I need a constant reminder these days. So here we go again....
Today I promise to be my best self. To be an outstanding mother, a passionate artist, a good friend, and an open hearted woman. I will get on the mat, create with great abandon in the studio, and remember wherever there is a lock, there is always a key. I am sending love to those who need it, and those who don't think they do. I'm going to start here. Small but mighty.
What's working for you? Donuts count by the way :)
2. Winner of the 2000 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, neuropsychiatrist Eric Kandel, recently wrote a book about how the brain perceives the work of Abstract Expressionists of the early 20th century. The book is called Reductionism in Art and Brain Science and it gives me all the good kinds of art and psych grey matter melt.
3. Sometimes old Simpsons episodes are pretty much the greatest thing ever. "Marge, I'd like to be alone with the sandwich."
