THESE THREE THINGS 1163

1. When in doubt, paint. It doesn't have to be deep or meaningful, ugly or beautiful. It doesn't have to be art. There is a beauty to the utilitarian. I sat for an hour today and painted some old picture frames. It was simple, but magic. I used a filbert tip brush and my favorite black paint. It was like being with an old friend.

2. Sitting in a space between. Things feel lukewarm and I've learned I'm a cold or hot kind of person.

3. A squirrel has been digging up one of my pots of mixed succulents. This squirrel in particular has enormous balls. Literally. I'm baffled at how an animal the size of an ear of corn can have balls the size of limes. So many questions. Nature is weird.
