1. Know your limits. I learn this over and over by being out in the world and seeing people really blow this every damn day. They blow it big time. We can't all do everything and that's not to discourage trying, but equally important to trying is to know your limits. And also know when and where you can stretch your limits. Perhaps that's most important.

2. I am in disbelief that roller rink music is nearly identical to what it was a full generation ago.

3. Thinking about my Norwegian grandfather and how he was characteristically a man of few words. My dad recently told me that Fa had read about 5 different sets of encyclopedias, the dictionary several times, and completed every single issue of National Geographic that was published in his lifetime. But he never shared a single bit of what he read. Not at a party, not with his family, never. It was purely for him. Interesting.
