Two years ago today, a woman named Heather Heyer was killed by a Nazi in Charlottesville, Virgina.

My grandfather, a WWII veteran, told me many years ago that history tends to repeat itself. And if it did, there would be people telling me that it wasn't happening. Or it wasn't the same thing. That somehow, this time it was different.

His advice, "don't believe them."
