I want to run, I want to hide
I want to tear down the walls that hold me inside
I wanna reach out and touch the flame
Where the streets have no name

Over and over and over again, this album. Year after year, change after change. In celebration and in grief, I want to run. I want to hide. When I go there, I go there with you.

Most of the major transitions of my life can be marked by this album. The memories that were not have been assigned to a particular song. An illuminating lyric. An unexpected melody. The people I love, the one's I have lost, all live in these songs.

I've never been the kind of person to adhere to one band, one type of music. I don't know why this album over others, but it speaks to me and has for decades. I listen to it at least once a week and it always feels like coming home. This is my staple.

Running to stand still.
