Here's a secret, I love a good sponge. When I was finally out of school and not working a million part time jobs, one of the first things I splurged on for my apartment was a bag of those fancy collapsed sponges from Williams Sonoma. I don't like using them for the dishes, they are actually total bacteria traps, but I love using them to wet my paintbrush. That little bag of sponges lasted years in my paintbox and every time I poured one under the water to bring it to life I was so delighted. The sponge photographed here is a natural sponge, also used for painting, from my friends at @acaseformaking. I just love all the little nooks and crevices.
