Blast from the past. About 6 months ago I found an old box of my Rolling Stone Magazines from the 90's. This is an original Rolling Stone Magazine from August 19, 1993. For this GenXer nothing beat coming home from school to find Rolling Stone delivered to my door. That and Mtv were pretty much the only two things I needed. Beavis and Butthead swept over my group of friends like a storm. They were gross, hilarious and set realistically low expectations of teen boy behavior everywhere. My teen post party Saturday nights were spent coming home, curling up on the couch with a bag of microwave popcorn and watching Beavis and Butthead on repeat until the wee hours of the morning. One summer, my friend Chris stayed with us a few nights a week and those were the best nights! He would bring chili home from the takeout restaurant next to where he worked and we would stay up late laughing ourselves silly until morning. I recently had a conversation with a good friend about how we both often feel like Beavis during this shelter in place. Beavis used to have these stress fits where his whole body would shake and he would run really fast or furiously shake his arms. Kind of like he was trapped in his own body. To which Butthead would play, ""Settle down Beavis."" That pretty much sums it up around here somedays.
